False friends between Polish and Russian or Ukrainian
Since I’ve been teaching Ukrainians or Russians, I’ve been gathering words, which sound similar in our languages but mean something different. We have always a lot of fun finding new false friends and to comparing their meanings. It’s good to enjoy studying, because we can learn new things without special effort. So I want to share my first list with people who know Ukrainian (UK) or Russian (RU). I hope that it’ll be helpful and also fun to read about пукать 😉
